My name is Quinter, an old/young starehian girl class of 2015 who enjoys hiking and lifting weights at the gym.
This year my spirit of adventure is leading me to the mountains for a cause through 500in24 by raising funds for my sisters and brothers.
I invite you to be a part of it too.

I go by several names, but most call me Stano. Or Captain. Or Coach too. I went to Starehe. Class of 1994.
Am a runner with an altitude affinity. I love sky running. Half Marathon, Personal Best 1:21:20; Full Marathon, Personal Best 2:55:25.
I am greatly inspired by individuals like Sam Kibiko, Ian Hicho et al, who tirelessly give their all, towards fundraising for Starehe and ensure future placements for bright but need students.
My challenge is to do double summits for each of the planned hikes. I’ll also be attempting, with a small group of friends, the 100km Nairobi All Bypasses Run on the 9th of July. I am hopeful I can, in my own little way support the fundraising aspirations of 500in24.
We aim to raise 4 million, which will go to the Griffin Memorial Endowment Trust (GMET), the lifeline of the Starehe Schools.

I go by the name Thande Kamau, my school mates add Peter. File 4248, class of 1971. I am closer to 70 than 60 years old.
I was among the 2nd lot that were awarded Gold by the late H E Jomo Kenyatta in 1975. I love nature & I am a venerate hiker
I will be part of the team looking to fund rise for GMET through 500in24 by hiking Mt. Kenya in August 2023. In preparation I will be doing the half marathon (21Km) in the Nairobi Marathon on the 1st of July.

Enock is my name but some of my post high school connections call me E-roy. I spent four transformational years at Starehe and graduated in 1994. I am grateful for the many lessons I received and most remarkably, around discipline & consistency. I have carried these into everything I do and over the years, God has blessed me.
I am very passionate about cycling (solo or in groups) and I have done the full 7-year cycle in cycling and enjoying the benefits – distinctly in physical and mental fitness.
My goal for this year is to ride 5000kms and in my own way I would like to give back. I recently got my aha moment; converting the miles I so passionately cover into ‘compassion miles,’ at Kes 100 per kilometre. Then dedicate the funds to helping a brother or sister at Starehe complete their education.
You can cheer me on, along the shortest stretch of 1km (Kes 100) or for as long as you feel inspired towards the 5000+kms.
Keep me going! Every kilometre counts.

Am Muriithi Joseph, 7981 Horsten House representing Starehe Ex-primarians.
Were it not for Starehe I wouldn’t be where I am today; thus when my Alma Mater calls, I definitely have to answer.
That’s why am taking up this ultimate challenge of climbing Mt. Kenya as from 22nd to 26th August 2023.
Am humbly requesting you, brothers and sisters help me share the same benefit I was accorded by Starehe to someone else.
